Tootsie
Olan is a NYC-based choreographer who captures
the electricity of contemporary funk/jazz and
translates it onto television, musical theatre
and concert stages. She performs and
choreographs for recording artists, industry
events, and awards ceremonies both in the U.S.
and abroad. Tootsie’s work can be seen on MTV,
HBO, the WB, UPN, New York City's Metro Channel,
Spain’s Telecinco channel, ESPN, and NBC's Today Show. Musical theatre credits span
from regional to off-Broadway, and include a
European production of Fame, New York City’s Fringe Festival’s All
American Boy, and NYC children’s theatre. Tootsie recently choreographed the original rock musical, The Possession of Mrs. Jones, for the LA Film Festival. Mrs. Jones was nominated for three Ovation Awards. She directed a dance-training program in
Barcelona, Spain and worked as television
Associate Producer for HBO documentaries. Tootsie
graduated Cornell University with a BA in
Psychology and minor in Dance.
